Electro/Mechanical Assembler - Aerospace

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Perform a variety of moderate to highly complex production electrical and/or mechanical assembly.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
Wire, solder, and assemble fabricated components to make subassemblies or assemblies for electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical systems. Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements. Repair units and products that fail to meet requirements. Follow and maintain assembly procedure manuals and quality assurance requirements, including serialization, reject procedure, check-out logs, etc. Maintain production and quality standards. Organize and complete work assignments in a timely manner. Report to Sr. Electro-Mechanical Assembler or Lead any discrepancies in assembly procedures, mechanical parts, electrical continuity, and/or quality. Write assembly procedures as directed by Lead.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Follow and maintain assembly procedures. Maintain production and quality standards. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain clean work station. Manage RG 174 and Capacitance test Grind square lock. Back-up Probe Manufacturing Tech. Update assembly procedures. Train others on applicable procedures and processes. Assembly and other duties as required. Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge & Skills: Must be self directed Demonstrate effective communication skills, including good interpersonal skills. Must be organized and motivated to complete tasks Must be able to prioritize workload Must be able to read and interpret drawings. Must have good hand/eye coordination and dexterity required. Moderately high mechanical aptitude required such as cutting saw and grinder. Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required. Over-time as required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching/working overhead. There will be occasional climbing of stairs (approx. 18). Occasionally there is pushing, pulling and lifting/carrying of probe shafts and assemblies weighing 40-80 lbs. Occasional fine manipulation of components and parts is required. Average vision and average hearing is sufficient.

 
Functions Test Technician - Aerospace

Job Description:
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of Measurement, Test Equipment and Automated Test Equipment stations(ATE). Primary area of responsibility will be providing calibration, repair and preventive maintenance of various measurement test equipment and ATE including, DC and low frequency, oscilloscopes, power supplies. Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy/precision requirements and provide input for development of calibration procedures. Must be able to provide feedback to management on relevant ISO9000, ISO-10012 calibration issues. Working independently, utilizes available resources to define/design systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements. Verifies fabricated components, test systems or assemblies meet the design specifications. Uses established physical, mechanical or scientific principles to analyze and resolve laboratory or test related problems and anomalies in individual instruments and ATE. Identifies possible solutions; selects and implements resolutions that are practical and effective.

Technical Competencies:

Automatic Test Equipment
Knowledge of operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (e.g., Avionics Intermediate Shop [AIS], Tactical Intermediate Support System [TISS], Servocylinder Test Set [STS], Electrical Optical Test Set [EOTS], Hybrid Test Set [HTS], Intermediate Avionics Test Set [IATS], etc.) and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes.
Electronics & Electro-Mechanical
Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to solve problems.
General/Precision Test & Measurement
Knowledge of electrical/electronic, general purpose and precision measuring test equipment (e.g., Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), multimeters, oscilloscopes, noise/bus/logic/spectrum analyzers, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and associated calibration requirements.

Education and Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and 3 to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 
General Laborer, Warehouse

Job Description:
Responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, suplies and equipment.

Typical Responsibilities:
Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
Operate industrial power equipment Restock and replenish as appropriate.
Perform general maintenance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Fill in for other positions as needed.
Perform general warehouse/production/cooler service duties.
Periodic bending, kneeling, lifting of 50+ pounds and climbing.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma Preferred.
0 - 1 year of general work experience.
Prior warehouse/production/equipment service experience preferred.
Ability to operate a manual / powered pallet jack or lift product.
Demonstrated attention to detail.
Forklift certification is a plus.

 
Material Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. (Tip: Employees matched to this job family may be known as shipping, receiving, pick-packs, or stores clerks.)

Panel/Mechanical Assembler

Job Timing: Shifts

Typical Pay Rate: $12.00-13.00/hr

 

Job Requirements:

- Be able to lift up to 30lbs and stand for prolonged periods of 3-4 hours at a time.

- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and up to 6-7 days a week

- Basic Understanding of Assembly BOM, drawings & other related documents

- Strong Communication Skills

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Work to, and meet deadlines without compromising product quality

- Communicate clearly findings to the appropriate work teams and management personnel

- Desire to continually improve the process and efficiency of the department

- Select, identify, scan and visually inspect samples based on lot size using knowledge of visuals, packaging and testing requirements

- Completes all OBA paperwork; daily logs, sort sheets, lot numbers and certificates of compliance

- Represent the quality function within manufacturing as the advisor on workmanship standards
