Functions Test Technician - Aerospace

Job Description:
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of Measurement, Test Equipment and Automated Test Equipment stations(ATE). Primary area of responsibility will be providing calibration, repair and preventive maintenance of various measurement test equipment and ATE including, DC and low frequency, oscilloscopes, power supplies. Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy/precision requirements and provide input for development of calibration procedures. Must be able to provide feedback to management on relevant ISO9000, ISO-10012 calibration issues. Working independently, utilizes available resources to define/design systems, materials, components, software and methodologies to meet customer requirements. Verifies fabricated components, test systems or assemblies meet the design specifications. Uses established physical, mechanical or scientific principles to analyze and resolve laboratory or test related problems and anomalies in individual instruments and ATE. Identifies possible solutions; selects and implements resolutions that are practical and effective.

Technical Competencies:

Automatic Test Equipment
Knowledge of operation, integration, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automatic test equipment (e.g., Avionics Intermediate Shop [AIS], Tactical Intermediate Support System [TISS], Servocylinder Test Set [STS], Electrical Optical Test Set [EOTS], Hybrid Test Set [HTS], Intermediate Avionics Test Set [IATS], etc.) and associated software, Test Program Sets (TPS), and programming codes.
Electronics & Electro-Mechanical
Knowledge of electronics and electro-mechanical assemblies and the ability to solve problems.
General/Precision Test & Measurement
Knowledge of electrical/electronic, general purpose and precision measuring test equipment (e.g., Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), multimeters, oscilloscopes, noise/bus/logic/spectrum analyzers, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and associated calibration requirements.

Education and Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and 3 to 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
